Location: Four miles NE of Fountain Hills, AZ - McDowell Mountain Regional Park on McDowell Mountain Road.
Limit: 150 runners
Awards: Overall male and female.
50K Individual - $60 postmarked before Jan. 1, $75 after Jan.1.
50K Relay (per team) - $120 postmarked before Jan. 1, $150 after Jan. 1.
Guest Lunch - $7 per guest.
Parking Permit -You will have to pay a $6 fee at the park entrance, for parking in a Arizona Regional Park.
No shirt to entrants who sign up after January 10th.
Weather: In February, Arizona weather can be 35-90 degrees. Be prepared for any weather conditions and dress accordingly.
Markings: This course is a well-traveled hiking trail and is marked with brown signs that say "Pemberton Trail". We will not place additional markings on the trail. However, we will use tape to mark aid stations.
Aid: You will need to carry a water bottle. Aid stations will be approximately five miles apart. There will be a total of 5 aid stations. We will provide water, Heed, coke and some food items. Drop bags at start/finish area.
Packet Pick-Up: Race day, 5:30am-6:30am at the start/finish
Course Briefing: Race day, 6:45am
Cut-Off: 8 hours. This is strictly enforced. The finish line closes at 3:00PM You must do first loop in 4 hours or less. I will allow an early start for runners who are going to take longer than 8hrs but the first aid station will not be set up!
Facilities: Camping at the start, showers and restrooms are available at the McDowell Mountain Regional Park for a minimal fee. Additional camping and hotels are as follows:
